Introduction
This programme is about creating a confident foundation from which participants can build and enhance their effectiveness in their chosen field(s) of activity. It starts with raising self-awareness in order to clarify their strengths and vulnerabilities as managers and individuals.
From this foundation, the programme helps participants determine how and where to further develop in order to promote personal growth.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the programme, participants will be able to:
Assess and describe their personal style preferences
Judge the impact of their personal style on their personal effectiveness
Choose how to manage the impact
Manage their personal behaviours more effectively
Develop and maintain more confident relations with others
Programme Content
Participants undertake a variety of personal awareness inventories that are chosen, not to offer behavioural judgements, but to simply measure a person's preferences. From these, however, participants are able to develop an understanding of how their style impacts on others with different preferences and similarly, how others can affect them.
The programme raises the idea of options in our behaviours and helps participants to move from automatic reactions to the concept of behavioural choice. This approach helps to build people's confidence in themselves and supports them in trying out new ways of thinking and acting. The programme is particularly effective for a team or work group
