Introduction
How many people do you know who, although successful at work, have a non existent or less than satisfactory personal life? And then again, how many people, in order to put home life first, have decided that they have to limit and restrict their goals at work?

This is a programme in two parts for people who want both. It builds the bridge between home life and working life. It shows how, firstly through personal mastery, and then through understanding and applying the deep-down skills of communicating and co-operating with others, we can achieve congruence and excellence in all our chosen fields of influence.

Part One: Personal Mastery

Learning Outcomes
On completing this programme, participants will be able to:

describe the characteristics that make up their personal shopping basket of strengths and weaknesses
choose to take action to enhance strengths and overcome weaknesses
manage their emotional state proactively and constructively
set clear, compelling and empowering goals
develop personal commitment and creativity
prioritise their goals realistically and develop action plans to achieve them

Programme Content
Personal Awareness: Personality, characteristics and preferences. What is fixed and what can I change? How am I affected by my strengths and weaknesses? What single change would make the most difference?
Emotional States: To act? Or be acted upon? How to choose empowering emotional states at will.
P.O.W.E.R. Outcomes: Setting clear goals you are empowered to achieve. Goals, personal congruence and ecology.
Principles of personal management: Prioritising your goals. Developing the stepping stones to achievement.

Part Two: Co-operation, Influence and Integrity

Learning Outcomes
On completing this programme, participants will be able to:

apply win/win thinking in relationships with others
llisten powerfully, and communicate persuasively
negotiate consensus and agreement
develop creative and positive solutions where outcomes diverge
build relationships of trust and integrity for the longer term

Programme Content
Six paradigms of human interaction: Exploring the options and alternatives. Applying the win/win paradigm. What happens if there's no win/win?

The power of listening for real: Second positioning and walking in the other guy's shoes. Demonstrating listening.

Influencing with integrity: What are the drivers for the other guy? Rapport, pacing and leading. The language of influence.

Negotiating agreement from different starting points: Facilitating and finding consensus. Productive confrontation leading to new solutions. Creative conflict resolution.

The structure of trustValuing difference. Personal values, beliefs and honesty. Relationships built on congruence, not compromise.

Lastly, if it isn't working, how to fix it with respectConflict situations in the context of real life.
