Introduction
We are continuously told that change is now our only constant. But living with change means more than surfing the waves that try to roll over us. Much of the change in our business lives needs to be initiated and driven by us. So what do we need to change? Analysing situations, problems, possibilities and potentials is a vital skill that needs to be applied before deciding on action. This programme is designed to give people the tools, thinking and strategies that will enable them to effectively analyse business situations.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this programme, participants will be able to:
Define and describe the problem / issue and its symptoms
Establish both the objectives of the analytical exercise and the ‘finishing’ point
Establish and ask the right questions to gather the appropriate data
Interpret data Diagnose causes / driving factors to create an accurate and useful ‘big picture’ while defining the right starting point for analysis
Select and use the right tool(s), from a personal analysis toolkit, for the situation
Explain different viewpoints and perspectives on the same problem / issue and use this to clear their minds for uncluttered analytical work
Recognise the impact of emotion and logic on analytical thinking
Programme Content
Participants will define problems and issues and refine outcomes. Using a range of analytical tools they will address symptoms and underlying causes and the impact these have on the organisation. The programme is also designed to consider the personal approach to analysis, how different perspectives and emotions can empower or limit the analytical process and it will show participants how they are able to challenge and change their own paradigms
