Supervising people effectively The supervisor/team leader’s responsibilities include concern for the individuals within their working group. Each person is different - with a different set of characteristics and needs. The role therefore requires a particular knowledge and set of skills for ensuring the welfare and development of individuals without which the group cannot function to its full potential. This course focuses on those areas of specific involvement for the supervisor/team leader and begins the development of the necessary skills.
Who should attend?
This course assumes that participants are conversant with the nature and scope of supervisory responsibility (as outlined in the New Supervisor/Team Leader course). It focuses on the skills required to effectively deal with issues related to individuals’ performance, development and welfare.
