Certificate in Advanced Principles of Supervision/Team Leadership
The Certificate in Advanced Principles of Supervision/Team Leadership is the second programme in the supervisor/team leader qualification cycle. The programme is designed to nationally recognised standards and best practice providing experienced supervisors/team leaders with practical tools and techniques, and allowing them to achieve an accredited qualification in as little as three months.
Who should attend?
This programme is designed for Supervisors/Team Leaders with a minimum two year’s experience in the role, however, previous training is not a pre-requisite for attendance. It offers more depth to the key principles of supervision best practice and introduces additional skills and tools including legal aspects, change management, basic project management and budgeting and cost control.
Objectives
By the end of the programmes delegates will be able to:
assess their current performance against supervision best practice
demonstrate the application of principles and techniques covered by the programme in their own work situations
together with their line manager produce a development plan for implementation in the workplace
