Introduction
"Conflict" and "Confrontation" are two of those umbrella words which cover a multitude of situations, and can mean different things depending on who we are and the circumstances we find ourselves in.
Whilst this programme has some underpinning models and skills sets its format is very much learner driven in that it addresses the needs unique to each group of participants: what type and form of conflict they want to be able to manage and resolve effectively.
Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of the programme, participants will be able to:
Identify conflict "danger zones" and "danger signals" relevant to their own context
Separate behavioural symptoms of conflict from personalities
Diagnose and analyse the cause of conflict
Develop their skills in using a range of conflict resolution techniques
Take early and effective action to prevent conflict arising
Programme Content
The programme offers a route map for analysing and enhancing interactions to enable mutually achievable outcomes. Depending on the needs of the group it will consider the circumstances surrounding conflict: the outcomes, personality, values and beliefs clashes and how these contribute to the causes of conflict. Conflict resolution offers a broad toolkit including assertiveness, rapport building and Emotional Intelligence.
