Introduction
People will buy into an organisational direction, aim or mission when they understand how it dovetails with their own personal objectives and targets. In the 21st century, this process of cascading strategic objectives has become more challenging but vitally necessary for a healthy organisation facing the mercurial rate of change both national and global.

This programme therefore, is intended initially for senior executives but can be delivered subsequently to other levels of management within the organisation.

Learning Outcomes
On successful completion of this programme, participants will be able to:

  • Ratify, qualify or devise an organisational aim (goal or mission) in simple, honest terms that will be understood by the widest audience
  • Define the strategic objectives necessary to achieve the aim of the organisation
  • Relate the strategic objectives to all aspects / departments of the organisation
  • Define the next, contributing level of achievement required to fulfil the strategic objectives
  • Sell the process of cascading strategic objectives to all those involved and gain their agreement
  • Manage the process throughout the organisational within an acceptable time scale
  • Define short and medium term targets that will achieve long term, strategic objectives
  • Modify and cascade strategic objectives in line with changes to the organisation's needs

Programme Content
Participants consider their own organisational direction, purpose and the relationship to their stakeholders. The programme encourages a critical look at the relationship between the stated organisational aims and objectives and the espoused culture, in order to identify discrepancies and misunderstandings.

In turn, by planning the strategic objectives cascade process, participants will have an implementation plan that will address many organisational issues, including demotivation in the work force
